Hello beautiful soul shines,
"What is real?" Asked the Rabbit one day. "Real isn't how you are made", said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become real." "Does it hurt ?", asked the Rabbit. "Sometimes", said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. "When you are real you don't mind being hurt." "Does it happen all at once" he asked, "or bit by bit?" "It doesn't happen all at once", said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out, and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are REAL you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand." "I suppose you are real?" asked the Rabbit. And then he wished he had not said it, for he thought the Skin Horse might be sensitive. But the Skin Horse only smiled.

This story still brings tears to my eyes and is very befitting to me now as I had a hysterectomy a few weeks ago. What a humbling experience that is. I suppose I am closer to being real!
We are working like crazy making beautiful things for our fall Marburger Farm show - Sept 27th - Oct. 1st. and we can't wait to see all of you at the show. I'm so happy to be alive!
So much love to all of you,
                                                        - Pearl.

The experiences that make us feel vulnerable are life-changing. They bring out gratitude and a new appreciation for life. We are never the same again. I am grateful for the experience that gave me a new awareness of the love and support of friends and family, and of my role out in the world.
The recording of Om Namah on your blog sight is amazing. Can you tell me the artist's name please? It is wonderful for meditating.
Thank you. Love to you.

Hello Robin...We came across your article and jaw dropping photos in Romantic Homes magazine last summer and 'ooohed and aaaaahhed' reading every word. Recently my Aunt was in the market for a Airsteam and we said 'OH! You have got to see these pictures in this magazine'. We searched and searched and finally found it...in the meantime we googled Magnolia Pearl and much to our delight came across your blog in July. Your post and song 'Sanctuary' has profoundly touched us this summer and we have shared your beautiful thoughts and words with many women that are near and dear to our hearts. Thank you for the inspiration you have given us!

Sweet healing thoughts sent your way from the the little fairies. They two have had the surgery, and are thankful for all the reasons you know.. It is what it is.
Said goodbye to the garden on the hill today, mowed it down.. the faries got out of the way fast! Sad, but the lake was so calm and beautiful. When we slow down I think we feel it...the summer saying goodbye. This surgery can help to slow you down too. You see the hummingbirds, butterflys, and all gods creatures. Its a good thing!
And and the same time..not, fall only sticks around for about a week here in MN. Soon tiny wine bottels will be rolling around the inside gardens. Proof of the faries discontent. Maybe I'll send them off to some island....take care!
