Lately I've been hoping that I'm living my life on purpose, and while I love what I do, I want to make the most of this precious gift and opportunity called life. I heard Oprah once say, "God can dream a bigger life for you than you can dream for yourself and when you surrender, it becomes possible". Have I surrendered? Will I know? Gary Zukav says in his book, "The Seat Of the Soul", when your personality comes to serve the energy of your soul, that is authentic power". "Authentic power" -- I love that! I want to be sure that my power is authentic "always", and I don't want to waste a moment of it. The past couple of weeks, I've been on an alkaline cleanse in hopes of healing the challenge of stubborn allergies which has moved me closer to the center of myself where God lives in me. In cleansing my body, I've also been cleansing my spirit and soul. I've come to realize that some foods are not good for me, and sometimes some of the people in my life are not good for me as well. That's a hard lesson because I get so attached on every level to all living creatures, especially humans, and when it's time to move on, I move very slowly. I can't do the good work that God put me here to do when my energy is not in alignment with giving and receiving love. I'm learning to let go, breath more deeply and settle into this cleanse until these allergies leave my body. This makes for a fun summer, lots of green juice, green salads, and meditation! God has put us all here to bring a gift to this human experience --- What is real and lasting is who we are and what we're meant to bring. I want to be a gift in the lives of the people who love me, so I'll keep working on me.
Love to all of you,
-- Pearl.
"Eventually you will come to understand that love heals everything, and love is all there is."
-- Gary Zukav.

PS --- I LOVE you John and Happy!!!!

Authentic power -- I think that when we listen and we hear what we are meant to do, then we know it is "authentic". To me, that means putting aside my own doubts and fears and just "doing". Lovely post.

I am in an Artist Way cluster right now and reading Julia Camerons book The Artists Way. I think the book The Seat of the Soul would go perfectly with this. I am going to purchase a copy. I am so glad that you have Happy. A home is not a home without a pet in my opinion. They are so pure and love so unconditionally. Pets are a gift from God.

You always write beautiful things. I'm grateful you shared your words today because I'm learning the same lesson's about people. I have a friend who always leaves me in the worst moods. She has a negative vibe that has a way of making me feel dissatisfied with my life. I don't need or want that, I have a beautiful life.

This is so beautiful. That is such a great book. I need to reread it now.

I am here in London doing my first fashion internship... far from home (Ohio). And I have been doing exactly what you said... trying to live life on purpose. Just trying to realize that my life, my time, my energy and my emotions are all my own.

I am here to love and make art. I think we all are. So we have to let go. Center and just allow the wind to take us.

Glad to see that your spirit is as beautiful as your clothes.
