Hi everyone,
As I sit and think about all the tragedy and heaviness in the world, I am reminded by the first spring hummingbird that the world is also full of beauty and light. Our vining roses are just starting to bloom and I can smell the wisteria flowers floating softly on the wind. Life is crazy and sane, happy and sad, scary and beautiful all at the same time, and I'm starting to become better at breathing deeply, letting go, and accepting the duality of this precious experience. I've noticed that the birds are "just" happy, that's all, they're just happy, and I sense that they know God on a personal level, so if they aren't worried, maybe I shouldn't be either.
We are loading our gypsy wagons and trailers with "Beautiful Wear" and heading for the BIG show in Round Top. There's no place like Round Top, TX in the spring -- See all of you soon!!!!. Here's one of our " Bloom And Fly" art projects we made for the show.
Love,
- Pearl.
"Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon. A happiness weapon. A beauty bomb. And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one. It would explode high in the air - explode softly - and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air.Floating down to earth - boxes of Crayolas. And we wouldn't go cheap, either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in. With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest. And people
would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with imagination."

Oh, I sooo agree! The duality of life - The Tao (The Way) - is what keeps us going. For every "bad" thing that happens, there's an equally "good" one to balance it!
And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that quote. I'm switching from teaching 4th grade to ART next year. That will be my trademark quote for the art room!
p.s. - your website and book reawakened my creativity... now I just need some time to follow it!

Thank you for the wonderful preview of the dress form cage. I really don't know how you keep outdoing yourself, but all the creative world thanks you for the beauty and inspiration you and John continue to give. I know your booth at Marburger will be heavenly, as always. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the only bombs were bombs filled with love, kindness, understanding? I truly believe that we will someday reach that ideal. Thank you for that beautiful quote, wishing you huge boxes of crayolas with much love

Robin, Your designs (and John's) never cease to amaze me.

If only we could think like you and your gentleness for just one day, what a world it would be...
See you next week!

Finding your blog (which I found before and then lost) was very timely for me. Your words are the inspiration I need to continue. I struggle daily with the tragedy and beauty of life and the seemingly 'irreconcileableness' of it. As I type I hear the birds singing outside my window and know that the world is good, even amidst the contradictions. Thank you for a beautiful post.

Love it all, but mostly the "love" feeling here. I am always happy to come here and visit you, Robin and John and know the world's a happier, lovelier place because of you two people.

I need to create a cage like yours in my little backyard... a mini Magnolia Pearl version.

I don't even know how many times I have come back to have a look at this post. It really pulls me. (I keep adding a fishing pole to her in my mind. ) Your eye for beauty is amazing, honest and spot on.

Just found this post - what a beautiful birdcage! My doves would be so jealous if they were to see...Perhaps I'll have to build them one of their own. So clever!

Beautifully put and now I too, am off to ponder whose written on my slate and what just might need to be erased and replaced.
Hope you don't mind me posting about you today. Just wanted to help spread your loving message.
