Hi everyone,

I hope your holiday season was the best ever! It's bittersweet for me - I love the holidays, but I'm always glad when it's past me. This year, my brother, Thovas, gave me an old sketch pad of our father's for Christmas and on the front (written by my father) was a quote that was truly a gift - "Light shines through the cracked." What a profoundly beautiful quote. Thank you Thovas and Dad.

Now I'm on my way to a fabulous New Year with more blessings than I can count, including all of you!

Happy, happy, New Year.

Many blessings, peace, joy, abundance, and love to all of you this year.

- Pearl

"One resolution I have made and try always to keep, is this: To rise above the little things."

- John Burroughs

P.S. - If you have not seen the new movie "True Grit", it's a must!!

P.P.S. - I love you John. Let's make this the best year yet.

Each time I visit your blog, I become even more of a fan of yours! Your clothes...ahhhhh....no words to describe how beautiful they are. Talk about eye candy....they make my mouth water from the sheer beauty of them! I was glad to see your quote by John Burroughs...his writings have always meshed with my thoughts too. My favorite of his is,
"I still find each day too short
for all the thoughts I want to think,
for all the walks I want to take, for all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see..." John Burrough
Here is to wishing you longer days in the coming year for all of those thoughts, walks, books, and friends that we all wish we had more time for!

I love that saying!! I have a necklace that says:

"Blessed are the cracked... for they let in the light"
How cool to get a sketchbook/pad that was your dads!

I found a journal that my father wrote... I have had it for 7 years now.... I cant bring myself to read it... I dont know why... Hmmmm

Hi, I loved "True Grit" too! I loved how fiesty and smart Maddie is, and I loved all the clothes she wore in the movie.
