Hi everyone,

We are working hard to complete our Summer "two" line of Beautiful Wear ( click image to see video) while trying to include the sweetness of Summer -- fresh peaches in the sun, star gazing in the tall grass, and playing in warm, Texas rain. We have been blessed with plenty of magical rain this Summer, so our well is full, the river is flowing beautifully, and our gardens are so green - yippeee! We even have baby Cotton Tails in our yard..

Happy crickets chirping, peppermint lemonade sipping, old straw hat wearing, trampoline laughing till your tummy hurts, warm figs off the tree eating, flowers blooming, Summer to you!!

"And so our mothers and grandmothers have, more often than not anonymously, handed on the creative spark, the seed of the flower they themselves never hoped to see - or like a sealed letter they could not plainly read.

- Alice Walker

You have painted the most yummy word picture of our beloved state!!! We have had lots of rain up here too, and we have baby grey foxes in our gardens! It is all too good... but I have to ask how to make peppermint lemonade???? Please share! I love the lay out in Romantic Homes!!! I've been begging for an Airstream for so long. It looks as if I do ever get one it will be a "Hunter's Lodge". Oh well, that too can be made pearlish!!!!

Sweetie, you're not just a pretty muse...you're an amazing writer too! Oh, and thanks for the culinary validation...I've been throwing mint leaves in my lemonade for years...thought I was odd.

What a cool video, I feel like I'm walking through summer into a beautiful garden of Eden. The sun goes down over the little garden on the hill, the lake's a liquid mirror, giving back the glowing sight.
Pure pleasure...and life to treasure!
Keep laughing, it makes us all smile.

As a big fan of the book, I have to say, I am overjoyed at finding you have a blog now too! The picture of the little girls in petticoats is adorable, and is reminiscent of one titled "Fauna" I took recently (insert shameless tooting of my own horn here) and just posted to my blog a couple days ago. Hope you have a chance to stop by and check it out!

I guess a direct link would make it easier :)

I'm so sorry for the loss of your childhood friends. Hold close the memories of your times with them and know that their friendship is with you always, in ways that will surprise you - a song on the radio, a phrase between the two of you, a found note, a toy from the past found today.
"Hello Playmate,
come out and play with me, and bring your dollies three,
climb up my apple tree,
shout down my rain barrel,
slide down my cellar door, and we'll be jolly friends, forevermore!"
With love,
