Hi beautiful women,
Happy Mother's Day to each and every one of you, even if you are just a mother to a goldfish! I think of my mother and giggle as I remember how she "loved" Mother's Day. She would start calling me a month before to remind me everyday that a "special day" was coming and how she so loved ballet shoes, silver jewelry, chocolate, junk, jungle gardenia perfume, baggy, victorian, eyelet night gowns, and Elton John music! She pretty much covered all the bases just in case I might of (somehow) forgot. Today, I ate squash drenched in Comino, in her honor. She loved and put Comino (a Mexican spice) on, literally everything. I only wish I had remembered to mix it in her ashes before we sprinkled them on the Earth. Happy Mother's Day Mom. I never forget.....
I love you,
Pearl

Beautiful post about Mother's Day and your mom! Aren't memories just the best to remind us of our loved ones?!
Ummm, comino... I'm wondering if it's the limon/chile blend which is great on melon (in my opinion ;).
Happy Mother's Day to you, Robin!

Beautiful Mother's Day tribute, Robin, and that photo is gorgeous. I had a little giggle when I read about her little reminders a month before. My girls are teenagers now, but when they were little, they would purchase little 'treasures' from the Mother's Day stall at school...precious memories. I love to read all the little letters and cards they wrote me...priceless x

I share your sorrow for a mom who is gone....but having had a great one - even for a short time - is the best gift ever. Her energy swirls around those flowers in your hair!

Robin,
you are so funny -- Who else would want to mix "Mexican" spice with their Mom's ashes before setting them free! Even that is creative!!!!
Happy Mother's Day dear one. Your mom sees you and is probably laughing too!
XOXOXOXOXO,
C.J.
