As I sit today to blog, all I can think of are the beautiful people of Haiti and their unimaginable pain. It seems like devastation from a terrible movie I would never go see, but it's real and it's a very short distance away. Wow, how the pain in the children's eyes puts things into perspective in my life and I hope yours too. I want to go and kiss the tears away on every child's face. Hopefully this tragedy will bring all of us closer to one another and to what is "real" in this life - Love. Hold, hug, kiss, and tell your family and friends how amazing they are to you. Let's all take a moment (a lifetime) to be grateful, and please don't forget to make your donation to the American Red Cross. www.AmericanRedCross.com Surround the people of Haiti in your mind and hearts with peace, love, and healing. May God bless the souls of his children in Haiti.
Love to all of you,
"To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch heaven."
- Johannes A. Gaertner
P.S. - I love you John.
"God is in the slums, in the cardboard boxes where the poor play house. God is in the silence of a mother who has infected her child with a virus that will end both of their lives. God is in the cries heard under the rubble of war. God is in the debris of wasted opportunity and lives, and God is with us if we are with them."
- Bono (Singer of U2)

Beautiful words and wonderful quote from Bono. We are Gods hands and we have the chance to show Gods loving heart to the people of Haiti. God says in the Bible when you give bread or shelter to the least of mine, you do it to me. What a priviledge is ours to give care and love to the wonderful people of Haiti. These are a people with great capacity for love and gratitude. Many smile and sing in spite of their devestation. I am grumpy when I don't get a latte in the morning. Shame on me. I also encourage people that can give to donate to Samaritans Purse. They have been doing great work in Haiti for many years. And lets remember to pray daily for these sweet people and those who are on the ground doing rescue work. Pray for the mothers and chicldren. My heart breaks for them.

I have never met you but always feel like there is a connection. It is good to see the hearts of those who are open and easily touched poured out for those who are in need. I love your posts, I love to listen to the music you have chosen and to be challenged by each thoughtful blog.
It is good to know that we are all a part of this beautiful and perfect tapestry God is weaving. Each tiny strand a part of the whole that does not require our understanding- just our love.
Take good care
