As I sit and acknowledge the coming of Memorial Day, the day we released my beautiful, Father's ashes into the Medina River some years ago, I also think about the countless souls who, so bravely, gave their lives for our freedom and our amazing country. I am so truly grateful. I feel that it is equally important to "LIVE" for what we believe in as well. I know, for me, that takes bravery. To walk the path of Godliness, love, and integrity with creativity, humor and compassion is a big task but I am practicing daily. I am blessed for the opportunity. Love to all of you.
Pearl
P.S. Next time you see a disabled Vet. shake his or her hand and hug their neck. Love heals.

We have a wake in two days for a young man who fell asleep forever, naturally, without explanation and your quote, too, is healing. I will show this to my friends in their sending off of their sweet, honorable, 23 year old baby. Thanks for the joy and light you scatter without even knowing it. Blessings.

Thank you for your generous soul. Your words truly soothe and heal. I am moved to tears as I read some these comments and feel their pain and your virtual hugs that you send. God speed to you and yours.

I have been fascinated with your art since the first time I saw an article about you in Mary Englebreit's Home Companion (way back when, lol). You are truly a free spirit. I enjoy your blog, it is filled with enthusiasm and comfort.
When I feel the need to slip out of my traditional bonds I race on over to your blog and website.
Thanks for the moments,
Theresa @ Cottage Violets

Thanks Pearl for this message, my DH is a disabled Vet, on Memorial Day we were eating out at our fav restaurant and a Dad and his young Son came up to my husband and thanked him for his service and sacrifice to our Country and shook his hand. You cannot imagine how much this meant to him and it was the FIRST time it had ever happened, since 1969 when he was first drafted and began to serve! It was a simple act, but one that our Vets, especially those who are disabled from their Service, appreciate more than you know!
