Hi all, Is the sky falling????
Well if it's not one thing, it's another and the media has turned everyone's home into a circus! We can't sleep worrying about the economy. We can't eat worrying about the "swine" flu, on and on.... It's true that there is plenty to worry about. It has always been that way and always will be. However, for every perceived "disaster", there are a trillion miracles! For some strange reason we seem to be hard-wired to obsess on the negative- scary stuff. I'm Challenging myself and friends to take time to practice meditating on the power of God and the goodness that surrounds us. It is everywhere. So much is always going beautifully. Be peaceful in your heart and mind if even for only a moment. The more you do that, the more that positive energy expands. I want to trust in the Divine Power that gifted all of us with this amazing experience and not be locked into fear. When I'm in fear, I miss the moment of pure love and perfection.
Love to all of you,
" Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier."
-Mother Teresa

If life were perfect every day, we would never experience the joy of waking up to surprises. God will sustain us through whatever the world or the news throws at us. The trials are what makes us appreciate the goodness, especially of those who make up out world. Thank you, Debbie

I encountered people everyday that are full of worries and heartaches. When I opened my shop I decided I will make it a place of friendship, comfort, beauty and spirit filled place. I have lost count of how many tears, hugs and simply sharing the comfort in the Lord and his word have been shared there. I feel is our responsability to share the good news. The economy might change, our health will deteriorate, we will experience lost and the list goes on. The only constant in our live is a God that does not change, full of mercy and grace, lover of His creation. HE IS GOOD and HE IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. Dear gentle soul continue to share your love and testify about His glory. Life is good but only a grateful heart can see it. Love, Marta.

"Without the dark we'd never see the stars."

I was taught all my life that God is in charge so I always try to remember that... especially when there is troubled times.

I couldn't agree with you more! We need a news station that broadcasts good news once in a while, instead of always the bad!

Counting Your Blessings said...

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Hope you don't mind that I shared some verses. They are from Psalms 91. Thank you for a beautiful post. Blessings... Polly

HAPPY MAY DAY!!! Hope you are wearing flowers in your hair. My daughters gifted me with Lilacs and dogwoods as if they weren't blessing enough.. Love your spirit and style. God has truly blessed us with your awesome spirit. Who sings the song "old Soul" on your playlist? I love it and can't find it. Thank you for giving me Gypsy Joy here and now.

Wonderful and inspiring thoughts. Thank you so much for sharing them. Yesterday I spent the day at the PA Fairie Festival - everyone was so positive and joyful. The colors, music and the playful spirits of the people were such a wonderful change from all the bad news the media seems determined to pile on. We truly must treasure each moment, and make our own happiness.

My month of April was the most challenging of my life with losing both of my parents...it is hard to get out of the gloomy fog but thinking beautiful thoughts of them and what a love story they were, gives me a sense of peace. Thank you for always being so inspiring to me with your thoughts and music. You have been a spot of solitude and peace for me this last month!

When ever I visit your world I am reminded of all the magic there is. As I scrolled through the different posts, I see quotes from masters that I have always referred to in times of need and try to heed their simple, truthful, peaceful and deep philosophy. Keeping history in perspective in comparison to the daily dirt we are bombarded with keeps me hopeful.
